The Pelion peninsula, on the eastern side of mainland Greece, is
easily one of the most beautiful and unique parts of the country.
Interestingly combining the sea and mountain, the region is one
where natural beauty thrives, and it is a perfect travel destination
throughout the year. |
The beauty of Pelion is visible to visitors the moment
they arrive, as the green and the blue blend together in harmony,
creating an absolutely unique and magical paradise.
The Pelion peninsula however, is just as unique and stunning underwater
as it is above. In the deep blue waters of the Pagasitic Gulf and
the Aegean sea, one discovers an amazing undersea world.
The "Trikeri Diving School" is situated in Agia Kiriaki,
at the southern point of mount Tesseaon, which is the Pelion extension
towards the South.
Agia Kiriaki is the port-serving village of Trikeri, a village with
a long tradition in marine, diving and sponge fishing.

|
|
The "Trikeri Diving School", operates throughout the
year, offering efficient and first of all secure training for
all amateur levels, as well as first aid training at the most
modern standards.
Beginners have the chance to experience scuba diving, by taking
with us a discovery diving, under totally safe and checked conditions
or to receive the internationally recognized scuba diver certificate
( Open Water Diver ) by following a completed dive course. For
the certified scuba divers the area is ideal for diving 365 days
of the year, independent of the weather conditions.
|
 |
The water conditions are ideal, the water is crystal blue and
limpid, offering perfect underwater vision, while the underwater
morphology is most impressive.
Opposite Agia Kiriaki is the Cross, the point where the water
of the Pagasitic Gulf meets the water of the Aegean Sea and the
Northern Evoean Gulf.
We start our diving excursions from the port of Agia Kiriaki,
in a variety of unique destinations, towards all three seas to
explore the islets and the rocks of the Pagasitic Gulf ( Paleo
Trikeri, Pythou, Mikra, Prassouda, Alatas ) towards the Argyroniso
and the islets of Evoean sea, as well as the areas along the eastern
coasts of Pelion in the Aegean Sea and North Evia, the reef Lefteris,
Pontikonisi, and many more.
|
|
Ship wrecks, walls, reefs, gorgonian forests, and contacts with
large mammals ( seals, dolphins ) are the targets of our daily
excursions.
The particular geographical position and the strong permanent
currents at some points, contribute to the preservation of the
rich undersea flora and fauna in the wider area. This also contributes
to the maintenance of exceptionally rich submarine biodiversity
in the wider region.
